Maldives Boat Trip

Travel insurance is not included in the price of the surf trip. We always recommend taking out travel insurance that includes at least travel health care (it should include repatriation when necessary) and travel reimbursement in the event of cancellation for reasons that make the trip impossible.

Our surf trips don't include the flight but we will suggest the most convenient airlines and the fastest routes. Please note that it's important to check the baggage policies because airline companies could charge an extra fee for surf bag transportation. 

It depends on each trip. Normally it is included in the surf trips for a beginner level and it isn't included in the intermediate/advanced surf trips.

The minimum level required depends on each trip and we are pretty surf that you will find the one that perfectly fits your level.

At the time of booking, you will be asked to pay 50% of the total surf trip while the remaining part (50%) must be paid within 60 days from the check-in date. The payment methods are bank transfer or debit/credit card. All extra services can be booked in advance but must be paid locally in cash during check-in.

Our cancellation policy is the following:

- If the cancellation is made within 60 days before the date of check-in, you will receive a full refund of the deposit;

- If the cancellation is made between 59 days and the date of check-in, you will be charged 100% of the amount of the deposit.

No, photos and videos are not included in the price but you can book them as an extra. The videos of surf coaching will be delivered for free.

We recommend that you bring an international power adapter. In the Maldives the plug is an english model with three square pins, so you need an adapter. 

We suggest you bring some cash with you in US dollars to allow you to cover all the extra expenses that are paid locally. Furthermore, we recommend that you exchange the euro/US dollar at the airports of origin.

We recommend that you check with your operator for coverage and international rates before traveling. In any case, there is the possibility to buy a local sim at the airport.

The best season for surfing in the Maldives is from March to October. During this period, the archipelago receives frequent storm surges from the southern area of the Indian Ocean. The months of July, August and September are considered by far the most consistent for the northern atolls both in terms of frequency and average size of the swells but it is not uncommon to find decent size waves at the beginning and at the end of the season.

The best areas for surfing in the Maldives are the northern atolls, central atolls, and southern atolls. The northern atolls are the most famous for the quality and variety of surf spots. They operate mainly from May to October, as do the central atolls, and it is during this period that they receive the best storms of the year. The southern atolls, being more exposed, offer excellent conditions with powerful waves from February to April, before the arrival of the monsoon winds.

The best surfing spots in the Maldives are located in the North Atolls, where there are spots like Sultans, Cokes, Chickens and Jailbreaks.
